Botswana Red Cross Society team from Tlamelong Rehabilitation Centre joined Botswana Council for the Disabled to commemorate World Human Rights Day
celebrated under the theme, "Human Rights: Our Everyday Essentials."
The event brought together advocates, leaders and persons with disabilities together with their care takers and members who share a commitment to promoting dignity and equality for all. The atmosphere was filled with purpose and unity.
One of the key highlights of the day was the official launch of the Disability Rights Handbook by Botswana Council of the Disiabled, a milestone resource aimed at empowering persons with disabilities and guiding the communities on the rights of PWD.
The event was graced by the presence of Paramount Chief of Gamalete Kgosi Mosadi Seboko who delivered the key note address on Human rights and Disability inclusion in Botswana.
